Where Food Comes From
Where Food Comes From, Inc. was originally founded as IMI Global in 1995 with a focus on traceability solutions for the livestock industry. The company expanded its offerings in 2006 under the guidance of its co-founders, John and Leann Saunders, by acquiring other businesses and diversifying its certification portfolio. This strategic move led to IMI Global becoming a part of WFCF as one of its divisions. WFCF supports more than 15,000 farmers, ranchers, vineyards, processors, retailers, distributors, and restaurants with a wide variety of value-added programs and traceability solutions.

In 2020, Postelsia became the newest division of Where Food Comes. The acquisition represents an important step towards strengthening Postelsia's ability to promote sustainable seafood and help businesses and consumers make informed choices about the seafood they consume.
WFCF's five divisions, including IMI Global, WFCF Organic, Validus Verification Services, SureHarvest, and Postelsia, work together to offer comprehensive and reliable verification services for the entire food supply chain.
WFCF Organic offers Organic and Regenerative Organic certification to both domestic and international clients and is one of the few certification bodies that verifies hydroponic operations.
